Jeanette Marilyn Cronkhite, 88, of Battle Creek, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. She was born November 30, 1932 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lester and Velva (Crane) Rozell. She graduated from Wright Beauty Academy and was a Beautician for 20 plus years. Jeanette married William Cronkhite on September 9, 1951 in East Leroy, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 2003. Jeanette and Bill loved to square dance and round dance. She was an amazing seamstress and would make their dance attire. Jeanette was an avid gardener and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and camping. She was the sweetest woman and known for her quick wit. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Sherry Leatherman, Bill (Tammie) Cronkhite, and Julie Chambers; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; siblings: Geneva (Harold) McDonald, Gordon Rozell, and Doris Stoner; sister-in-law: Donna Rozell; special friend: Ken Rollins; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother: Kenny Rozell.
